Thermoplastic coating (warm to touch) is the dipping of metal components into thermoplastic powders. It dates back to the 1950's & it has a proven record of being very reliable.
Steel parts are heated up between 250 and 400 degrees C all depending on the coating required. Parts are then submerged into a fluid bed tank filled with plastic where the plastic particles melt onto the metal which makes a smooth continuous plastic coating.
